How To Shape & Trim Your Beard At Home- Zeus Video Series

If you’re going to put in the time to grow that majestic mane out, make sure you put in the time to check yourself before you wreck yourself.

What we’re talking about is beard shaping and trimming. As much as you’d like your facial hair to take care of itself, it’s worth putting in the time and effort to go from having an OK beard to one that will leave other people in awe.

So if you’re looking for a guide to help you shape and trim you facial hair, check out this fan-favorite video from the Zeus Beard YouTube Channel to help you on your beard journey.

How to Shape and Trim Your Beard

Our buddy Carver helped us out on this one. While trimming your own beard can be intimidating, Carver’s easy to follow tutorial takes out all the guesswork.

Here’s what you need to do to get your beard looking proper:

  • Grab a pair of beard scissors — we like using our German-made 5-inch scissors — and put a few drops of beard oil to lubricate the blades to prevent sticking
  • Use a comb — we recommend using one of our sandalwood beard combs — and brush out your beard so that it’s puffed out
  • Use the scissors to trim and shape your beard to your liking
  • Comb down your beard, check the shape and continue trimming if necessary

We love the Zeus beard scissors because they’re handmade in Solingen, Germany and are made out of professional grade stainless steel that are resilient and unlikely to quickly dull. The blades are micro-serrated and will slice through your facial hair without creating split ends.

These scissors also feature a removable finger rest for when you don’t need a precise cut during a longer trimming session. They also have a rubber stopper to soften each cut you make.

“Dude you are a savior,” said one YouTube commenter. “I have been looking for this for ages. I was not able to get the shape so it used to end up getting messed up, but you saved me, sir.”
