Movember Foundation

The Movember Foundation started in 2003 to raise awareness and funds for men's health issues. What started as 30 guys trying to bring the misunderstood mustache back into style has now become a global movement. Their goal is to reduce the number of men dying prematurely by 25% by the year 2030—a lofty, but achievable goal especially with your help. The Movember Foundation has three objectives to achieve that:

  1. Awareness

    The antiquated definition of a man is an individual that has no weaknesses. An individual that'll just shake it off and carry on with their day without batting an eye. Truth is, every individual—male and female—on this planet is susceptible to illness, and the Movember Movement aims to educate and raise awareness about men's health issues like prostate and testicular cancer as well as mental health issues like depression and anxiety.

  2. Action

    Being cognizant of men's health issues is an important first step towards the betterment of men's health, but taking action is paramount for change. Through innumerable men's health events and a plethora of online resources, the Movember Foundation aims to spread the word on what men can do to change their health for the better. Whether that means finally scheduling that annual physical or being more verbal about depression, men worldwide have the opportunity to combat men's health issues.

  3. Charity

    The Movember Foundation has funded more than 1,200 projects across the globe to tackle cancer research, rehabilitation, and education. As awareness of the Movember Movement spreads, more of these projects can be funded to achieve their goals.
